Thought Model + Decluttering
Thought Model:
C (circumstance) - describe as neutrally as possible.
T (thought) - you have a very subtle thought about it.
F (feeling) - that thought creates a feeling.
A (action) - from that feeling, you do something/ you don’t do something you would have done.
R (result) - you create a result in your life.
Let’s look at an example….
(Circumstance) “Something happens.”
ex: You drive into your garage and see stuff on the shelves, on the floor.
(Thought) - Note these thoughts compound so quickly, try to identify the first one, or the “most basic”.
ex: I shouldn’t have so much stuff in here.
ex: I hate having so much stuff in here.
(Feeling) - slight depression, sadness, frustration
(Action) - ignore the mess and get into the house
(Result) - the garage stays the same way - with stuff on the shelves, on the floor.
If you want a different result, you have to change your thoughts.
No new “action” happens without a different thought.
If your new thought is “I want to clean it up” or “I want to tackle this one small section”, you will create a different action and therefore a different result.
